Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project oriented work efforts.
  • Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards and meet customer expectations.
  • Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
  • Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
  • Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.

Minimum Job Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related fields.
  • Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is required.
  • Typically has 7 to 10 years of IT work experience, including 4 or more years managing projects. Experience with projects in multiple technologies and functions.
  • Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.
  • Must have strong organization and prioritization skills to balance issue and risk management, cost management and scope/schedule management on a single large project or possibly across smaller, multiple projects.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to convey status, report issues/risks, lead problem resolution activities and engage supporting teams and personnel not directly part of core project team.

Essential Requirements and Experience:

Responsibilities - 60%

  • Monitor and support technology platforms, including Windows Server (hardware, operating systems), networks, Active Directory Services, DNS, VMWare

The Incident Response Specialist is a key function of the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) reporting to the CSIRT Manager. The CSIRT Specialist will utilize their background in regulatory and governance frameworks, technology and incident response procedures to act as a subject matter expert in Cybersecurity Incident Response.
The Specialist will leverage subject matter expertise to perform ad-hoc current state maturity assessments, working with team members and enterprise stakeholders in the development and maintenance of the organization's Cyber Incident Response Program including program documentation, execution and maintenance of processes, implementation and use of technologies to create efficiencies within existing capabilities.
The Specialist will have knowledge of current attack methodology including but not limited to threat actor tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs). The Specialist shall leverage this knowledge in the context of the organization and any incident to estimate the business impact, assigning priority and severity as appropriate.
This role requires a demonstrated capability of effectively communicating incident identification, analysis and response updates to technical and non-technical audiences including senior management, business partners, and technologists.
The Specialist will be adept in incident and crisis management, able to assert authority and calm in stressful situations, leveraging established and ad-hoc process to guide response efforts in alignment with industry best practices, regulatory compliance and legal obligation.
The Specialist will be a self-starter, able to own complex initiatives and execute on tactical objectives, in alignment with organizational strategy, with a minimum of supervision and guidance. The highest levels of professionalism, integrity and accountability are required for this role.

 

Education:
Bachelor Degree; BS or MA in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
Minimum experience 5-7 years
5+ years of experience in an incident response role
3+ years of experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks desired (e.g., IS027000, COBIT, NIST Cyber Security Framework, NIST 800-61 r.2, NIST 800-83 etc.)

Provides timely and relevant updates to appropriate stakeholders and decision makers
Validates and maintains incident response plans and processes

Highly successful, Proprietary Trading firm is looking to hire a Technical writer. We believe that developers should spend time and effort documenting their own code, but at the same time, a great writer with a feel for the technology can raise the level of quality in a way that few developers can.

 

Here are the kinds of things you'd work on:

·  Training material. We have a training program that many new hires go through, including most new developers and all new traders. In that program, they learn about our base libraries, our build system, the UNIX shell, Emacs, and our dev tools. Part of the job would be to help make the course better, both by improving what we have, and by adding new material.

·  Improving library documentation. While we expect developers to do a reasonable job of documenting their code, our most important libraries should really get extra time and care to make them really shine. This is both an internal and external focus, since a lot of these libraries, like Async, Core and Incremental, are open source.

·  Write longer pieces. We need more tutorials and overviews on a variety of topics. We believe in good tools, and for a lot of these, we'd like to use those tools to build documentation that includes examples that compile against our real APIs, so they don't become stale as APIs evolve. Part of the work would be to create great new documentation, and pat of it is to serve as an example for others as to what good documentation looks like.

 

In terms of skills, we want someone who is both a clear and effective written communicator, and who is good enough at programming to navigate our codebase, work through our tutorials, and write up simple examples. An interest in functional programming and expressive type systems is a plus, but you don't need to know a specific language. That's something we're happy to teach you here.
